Cure Kids Brings Back Red Nose Day
"Red Nose Day" was always a personal favourite. I'd see the noses on nearly
everything, from people to buses, and spirits were instantly lifted. Such a great, novel, & highly visible idea that was infectious.
Thanks to "Cure Kids", this old Kiwi favourite is back!
From the Official Website:
"Red Nose Day is a national “fun” campaign that celebrates our communities, embraces the light-hearted Kiwi culture, and supports the children across New Zealand. A simple idea created over two decades ago, the campaign encourages everyone to let go, laugh, and be silly...all for a serious cause."
So get out there Kiwis!
Track down a Red Nose stand, and make a donation in return for your slice of the fun. There doesn't appear to be a minimum donation, but how about we stick to the gold coins! I went with the classic, personal nose myself... I'm currently working up the courage to wear it around my workplace :)
Here's the amazing Anika Moa bringing the very catchy theme song back to life:
You can find out more about Cure Kids via their website. They've been around for more then 30 years, doing incredible things for research in to life threatening illnesses.
